Havas, Turkey’s largest airport service provider, has warned Russian, Belarusian and Iranian companies on Wednesday that it will not be able to provide assistance to some of its planes due to the latest sanctions imposed by the United States.

This “black list” includes more than 170 planes from Russian airlines, –such as Aeroflot, AirBridgeCarg, Ural Airlines, Red Wings, or Nordwind– seven Belarusian ones from the Belavia company, and another four Iranian ones from Iran Air and Mahan Airlines. In it are also the commercial airplanes Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Gulfstream G650 owned by the Russian magnate Roman Abramovich.

All these aircraft are subject to the restrictions that the United States Department of Commerce imposed in the spring of 2022 in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, details the specialized media Haber Aero.

Havas has asked airlines to provide lists of those of their aircraft that do not use more than 25 percent of parts and technologies manufactured in the United States, otherwise they would be in breach of export regulations set by the Commerce Department’s EAR. .

“The order to temporarily deny these services affects planes destined for Russia and Belarus that are equipped with more than 25 percent parts made in the United States,” Havas president Mete Erna said this week through a statement. letter mentioned by the aforementioned media.
