According to the KeepTruckin study, which analyzed 23% accidents and 56% incidents of unsafe driving in commercial fleets.
Data also valuable on the road
But technology not only influences safety on the road, mentions Eduardo Allegre, general director of Métrica Móvil, but also provides a better understanding of vehicle maintenance based on resources that are integrated into vehicles to manage data and obtain indicators on possible problems and generate specific solutions.
In this case, the implementation of AI also has an impact on the generation of reports based on machine learning, with the aim of determining problem areas, such as the electrical part, the brakes or other elements that provide greater value to the fleets.
“The information is getting finer and finer and gives you very deep results,” mentions Allegre, who also points out that there are more than 3.4 million vehicles connected to the system around the world, which makes it possible to compare the data globally and determine if a fleet complies with regulatory requirements.
