TikTok has announced a new feature that it is literally a clone of BeRealthe application of the moment that is growing and becoming popular thanks to its peculiar mechanics: it allows you to post a photo once a day and at a random time.
The social network owned by the Chinese giant ByteDance premieres “TikTok Now” and presents it as “a daily experience of photos and videos to share your most authentic moments with the people who matter most to us”, according to a press release.
How TikTok Now works, the clone of BeReal
TikTok Now works in almost exactly the same way as BeReal. If you are a user of this social network you will receive a daily notification which will invite you to capture a 10-second video or still photo using your device’s front and rear cameras.
Like BeReal, the notification will arrive in a random moment, that is, you will not be able to publish at the time you want. For this you will have the other possibilities that TikTok offers of standard publications with Camera, Story, Templates, etc.
The company explains that in the coming weeks it will experiment with this feature in the United States and other regions. In the case of Spain, TikTok Now will be integrated into the TikTok application. Users will find the “Now” button on the bottom tab.
But it will not be the only alternative. ByteDance also explains that it will publish a standalone app called TikTok Now. Please note that as this is a gradual rollout, the new feature may not be immediately available to all users.
