This will be the design of the Pixel Fold: Google announces its first (and ambitious) folding phone

The rumors were true. Google has its first foldable phone ready for its flagship event next week. We are talking about Pixel Foldan ambitious device that we will know in detail on May 10 during Google I/O 2023.

After much runrún, the Mountain View giant confirmed the existence of the team on Thursday. And he has done it through the Twitter account Made by Google with a interesting video advertising that leaves few design secrets to reveal.

The design of the Pixel Fold officially appears in all its splendor

The official images show us a device with a peculiar bulge in the camera module. It’s not that we’re not used to this kind of design language from the back that came with the Pixel 6, but it looks different from what is already known.

Instead of appearing as a rectangular module that reaches the corners of the terminal, it appears as a subtly rounded “island” shape. It should be noted that Google has only published the images and, for the moment, has not revealed any technical details of the device.

If we stick to the rumors, the Pixel Fold could incorporate a 50-megapixel main camera along with two other cameras: one of 12 and another of 8 megapixels. Regarding the screen, there is no official information either, but it is believed that it will have a 7.6-inch panel displayed.

In the video we can see a terminal in all its splendor. The light color stands out, which seems to be slightly different from the well-known “Snow” or “Snow” that we have seen in the current generation terminals. It is also expected that two more versions with dark colors will be launched.
