Qatar 2022 is already beginning to add songs to that music list. World soccer’s governing body introduced “Hayya Hayya” (Better Together), the first World Cup-related song, in April.
This is a collaboration between Afrobeat icon Davido, viral sensation Trinidad Cardona and Qatari singer Aisha.
“By bringing together voices from the Americas, Africa and the Middle East, this song symbolizes how music and football can bring the world together,” FIFA Commercial Director Kay Madati said in a press release.
The lyrics of the song speak of optimism, of having the certainty that we can overcome difficult situations and that there is strength in unity.
Ozuna is also part of the World Cup
And if you thought that we would not have any Latin artists involved in some way in the music surrounding Qatar 2022, you are wrong.
Ozuna will also ring in World Cup stadiums on “Arhbo,” the Puerto Rican superstar’s collaboration with Congolese rapper Gims.

The title of the song corresponds to the colloquial Qatari word arhbo which means welcome, FIFA said in a statement.
“Archbo is a colloquial Qatari term meaning welcome, derived from the Arabic marhaba. It is an uplifting theme that celebrates unity and solidarity, fundamental elements of this year’s competition in Qatar,” FIFA said in a press release.
“I believe that welcome, you are home, already says it all. Whatever journey we have undertaken has brought us here, to this moment, and at this moment we are home. As the saying goes, home is where the heart is. To all the people who come, and to all those who, with all their hearts, want to come, we say: Welcome, you’re home!”Ozuna said through a statement.
For his part, for Gims the subject is a welcome blessing.
“For me, Arhbo is a welcome blessing. It literally means that, welcome, but it’s something more. It’s the fact of celebrating that we are here, you and me, everyone. Archbo wants to create the right environment for one of the biggest gatherings on the planet, the FIFA World Cup, both for those who attend it in person and in spirit. They will all be here! Welcome!” Gims said.
