The voice of Google Maps reveals a funny bug in the application that only occurs in Spain

The strange circumstance that makes users laugh if they search for a particular street on Google Maps in our country.

Google MapsMountain View’s navigation application, is the most used in the world, both on board a vehicle and when we are down the street looking for a particular place.

But when we are looking for a street, the Google Maps application tells us where we have to go, a good way so that we do not take our eyes off the road or in case we do not want to be looking at our cell phone all the time if we are walking.

And to carry out all these voice instructions, Google has had to record countless voice lines, and this can result in the occasional failure.

A user of the social network

As has been shared, the Google Maps voice assistant, when it offers voice instructions to go through or to get to Fuente Gallo street located in Conil de la Frontera, pronounces the word “rooster” in a strange way.

The explanation for the curious failure

The voice of Google Maps in Spain, Nikki García, has taken to her social networks to explain this situation that has gone viral in recent hours.

Nikki has clarified that she has never recorded street names: “This is built, it is sewn, it is glued. I am not to blame for how it is pronounced. Nobody who records a synthesizer is to blame for how it pronounces certain things,” she explains.

He added that what he did do was sing and “another one in which they asked me to release a cock.”

“There was a bug that all the streets in Spain that had the word rooster, and there are several, put the word in the song,” he says.

So, as you can see, this is a failure of Google Maps, when it comes to taking all these previous pre-recorded voices and putting them in contexts that do not correspond.
