In the accumulated from January to May, about 3,165 million card payments were made.
Mexico has 57 million users in the financial system. The figure has increased since 2015 due to the offer of financial products such as debit cards, according to the Fintech Mexico 2023 Reportmade by the Fintech Association.
Where do you pay more with a card?
In May, large stores, such as hypermarkets, were where the most transactions were made, with 138.26 million operations.
The retail registered 127.72 million operations with cards, being the second place where more payments are made. One of the most relevant data is the role played by aggregators -such as those offered by companies such as Clip- which are used to a large extent by small and medium-sized companies, where 56.58 million payments were registered.
