June 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The United States forces announced this Thursday the deployment of several strategic bombers to a US military base located on the island of Guam, in the western part of the Pacific Ocean, a measure adopted just one day after the Russian and North Korean authorities will sign a cooperation agreement that includes a mutual defense clause.

The United States Indo-Pacific Command (PACOM) has indicated in a statement released through social networks that these are several ‘B-1B Lancer’ bombers that have already been transferred to the air base.

Although he has not given details about the number of planes sent to the area, he has clarified that it is a “routine flight framed in a series of missions launched in the area to show the reaction capacity of the Command’s forces in the Indo-Pacific when responding in support of allies, partners and friends” in the area.

Likewise, the aircraft carrier ‘USS Ronald Reagan’ has also docked in the port of Guam after contributing to a series of activities in the South China Sea, where it has participated in aerial military maneuvers.
