The South Korean ambassador to Japan, Yun Duk Min, highlighted this Monday that “changes” have been registered in favor of an improvement in bilateral relations by the Japanese government, mainly in terms of security.
Yun has indicated during a press conference that the “conditions for a reparation seem to be taking place” under the Administration of the Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, who is trying to promote relations between the parties “with conviction”.
His words come after South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol held talks with Kishida precisely with a view to improving communication between the two countries and increasing cooperation.
“Recently, the conservative political groups in Japan have been open to cooperating with South Korea,” he pointed out before adding that “we can see a change in the political situation” in the country.
Since the last meeting between the leaders of both countries, South Korea and Japan continue to increase their efforts to ensure greater cooperation as North Korea threatens to take action on joint military exercises in the region.
