A premiere full of surprises for fans!
Among the most anticipated activities of the premiere, the “cheer screenings” sessions stand out, where viewers will be able to cheer, applaud and express their enthusiasm during the screening. These features will coincide with the general launch on January 17.
Additionally, special “aftershows” will be held each week highlighting a different unit from the “Project Sekai” universe. As if that were not enough, Hatsune Miku will make special appearances to greet fans of the play before performances from January 17 to 23.
The production is a collaboration between Colorful Palette, a subsidiary of Craft Egg, and sega. The official website has also announced that the film will have an international release.
A brief synopsis of the story
The original story follows Ichika Hoshino, who discovers a Hatsune Miku song she had never heard before in a CD store. Furthermore, he meets a completely different Miku than the one he knows. Intrigued, Ichika tries to talk to her, but Miku disappears after a brief exchange of glances. Later, Miku appears on Ichika’s smartphone and confesses that she wants to reach people’s hearts with her songs, although for some reason she fails to do so. Inspired by Ichika’s ability to connect with others through her street performances, the young woman asks him for help to fulfill her dream.
The voice of Hatsune Miku will once again be provided by Saki Fujita, who has given life to the character in various projects in the franchise. For her part, Ruriko Noguchi will play Ichika Hoshino, along with other cast members returning for this film.

What is the game “Project Sekai” about and why is it so popular?
The game «Project Sekai: Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku” was released in Japan in September 2020 and expanded globally under the name “Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!” in December 2021 for iOS and Android devices.
This became very popular because it combines rhythm mechanics and visual novel elements, offering players the possibility of interacting with Hatsune Miku and other virtual singers such as Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO and MEIKO, as well as a cast of 20 original characters divided into five bands, each with their own musical style and stories.
Featured songs in the game include Hatsune Miku’s greatest hits such as “Tell Your World” by kz, “Melt” by ryo and “ROKI” by Mikito-P, as well as original songs created especially for the experience.
Players can challenge themselves with five difficulty levels for each track, in both single and multiplayer modes. Additionally, the game allows users to participate in live virtual concerts, interact with the community, and participate in online events to earn exclusive rewards.
The game also inspired a mini anime series titled “Petit Seka” (“Puchi Seka”), which had 10 episodes available for free on YouTube.
