The Supreme Court of Uganda ordered on January 31 the end of civilian trials before military courts and claimed that all these cases-including Besigye-be transferred to civil courts with jurisdiction over them, in the midst of complaints by the opposition on the use of these processes to suppress critics with the authorities.
