this very week NVIDIA officially launched the GTX 1630an entry-level graphics card priced at around $169 for replace the old GTX 1050 Ti. From Inno3D they have left us performance figures of this new model compared to the card it replaces and the inferior model GTX 1050.
The new NVIDIA GTX 1630 has a GTX 1050Ti-like performancealthough as we see in the Inno3D graphics the GTX 1050Ti model beats it in most games tested. Where we do see a difference is with respect to the GTX 1050 model, which is 17% lower. We must also take into account that this new GTX 1630 has compatibility with new codecs such as H.265(HEVC) 12 bits or VP8.
This new NVIDIA GTX1630 is based on the TU117-150 GPU of the Turing architecture and features 512 CUDA cores. It also features a higher clock rate of up to 1,785 MHz and 4 GB of VRAM memory at 12 Gb/s, although it features a smaller 64-bit bus. But it seems that this not enough to outperform a model launched 6 years ago and that also has a higher price even than the GTX 1650.
