The British Police have confirmed this Sunday that six people have been shot after being shot in front of a church where a funeral was taking place on Phoenix Road, in the center of London.

Among the victims is a seven-year-old girl who has been taken to a central London hospital and remains in serious condition. A second girl, 12 years old, has also been injured but her injuries are minor.

The incident has also left four other victims, three women – 48, 54 and 41 years old – who have been transferred to a central London hospital, which were assessed as not life-threatening.

Also, another 21-year-old woman has been transferred to another health center where it has been determined that her condition does not endanger her life, according to the police statement.

British Police received a call about the attack at 1:29 p.m. (local time) this Saturday reporting a shooting on Phoenix Road, in the Camden district of London.

The officers attended with doctors from the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance.

The incident took place in the vicinity of a church where a funeral was being held. According to the first investigations, the shots were fired from a moving vehicle that moved away from the place.

As reported by the Police, so far no arrests have been made and an appeal is being made to potential witnesses to the attack.

“An investigation is already underway into this terrible attack involving local officers and specialized detectives. I can assure the communities of Camden and beyond that we will do everything possible to identify and bring to justice those responsible,” he said. Camden District Police Commissioner Ed Wells.
