The Last of Us is currently the fashion franchise. The first season of the series on HBO has already ended and fans have been left wanting much more. On the day of the premiere of the first episodes, the producer confirmed that they were already working on the second season.
Although they have not announced anything about the plot. Everything seems to indicate that it is an adaptation of the second video game in the PlayStation franchise.
In other words, Joel will die at the beginning of the series, Abby will be introduced as the protagonist of the story, and Ellie will abandon her family to seek revenge.
In the meantime, some intimate character moments will be told, like the moment Ellie and Joel walk into a museum, and she lives her dream of being an astronaut for a day.
But what will happen to the video game? Neil Druckmann, the game’s writer and showrunner for the series, has shared some thoughts on the matter in recent interviews.
Will there be a third The Last of Us game?
“I know the fans are asking The Last of Us 3I hear it all the time. All I can say is that we are already on our next project.”, explained the manager.
“The decision has already been made and I cannot speak at the moment. We have thought about several things and we have chosen the one that most excited us”, he added.
In other words, you don’t want to confirm that Naughty Dog is working on a third game in the franchise. However, he commented to El Español, that if there is a third part, elements of the HBO series will be taken.
“If we ever review them in game form. It remains to be seen, there are definitely elements that I am going to take from the series that would be applied to the games, ”he revealed to the press.
