The judge of the National Court Manuel García Castellón has proposed this Wednesday to try the retired commissioner José Manuel Villarejo, the former president of BBVA Francisco González, the entity and several former officials of the bank for the alleged illegal orders that the police officer would have carried out for the bank when was active.

In an order, collected by Europa Press, the head of the Central Court of Instruction Number 6 concludes the investigation that began in 2018 and also prosecutes the former head of Security Ángel Corrochano; the former CEO of the bank Ángel Cano or the former Risk Director Antonio Béjar.

Likewise, the magistrate proposes placing the former head of Internal Control Eduardo Arbizu on the dock; the current head of legal services Eduardo Ortega; the head of Internal Audit, Joaquín Gortari; the former head of Legal Services of Spain and Portugal José Manuel García, and the entity’s employee Óscar Santos.

In addition, he also prosecutes Villarejo’s partner, Rafael Redondo, former Police Inspector Antonio Bonilla and the agent with professional card 76,738. Finally, the magistrate agrees to file for 11 investigated.
