The Ibex 35 has closed the day of this Monday located at 8,944.1 points, which represents an increase of 0.29% compared to the close of Friday, in a day with no major macroeconomic data.
Investors are still waiting for clues that the president of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, can offer this afternoon about the entity’s future monetary policy. Also, during the remainder of the week, business results and macroeconomic data such as the United States GDP or the German IFO will continue to be released.
The value that has behaved best during the session has been Fluidra, which has experienced an increase of 2.30%, followed by Colonial (+2.25%), Enagás (+1.68%), Merlin (+1, 6%) and Sacyr (+1.51%).
On the other hand, the 2.25% drop in ACS stands out, while Acciona Energías Renovables fell by 0.84%, ahead of Indra (-0.3), Cellnex (-0.60%) and Aena ( -0.55%).
Compared to the rest of the major European markets, the German DAX has advanced by 0.46%, while the CAC 40 has risen by 0.51% and the Italian FTSE MIB has risen by 0.18%. The Euro Stoxx 50 closed the session advancing 0.75%, while the British FTSE 100 rose 0.18%.
Regarding raw materials, a barrel of Brent stood at 88.48 dollars, 0.98% more, while West Texas Intermediate reached 82.17 dollars, 0.66% more.
In the debt market, the yield on Spanish bonds with a maturity of 10 years has reached 3.175%, slowing down the 3.135% observed at the end of Friday. In this way, the risk premium with respect to its German counterparts closed Monday at 97 basis points, compared to the full 95.8 before the weekend.
The euro in its cross against the dollar has lost some strength compared to the first hours of the session, reaching 1.0861 dollars for each euro, from the maximum of 1.0919 dollars that it has come to observe.
