The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, noted this Monday that the member states have reiterated the importance of the “deep friendship” with Morocco and the intention to expand cooperation with Rabat.

“We established a deep friendship and cooperated in multiple facets and we want to continue and expand this cooperation in the coming months,” Borrell said at a press conference from Luxembourg after the meeting of European ministers in the field.
In this way, it has reiterated the position expressed in a statement from the European Commission after the ruling of the Court of Justice. Brussels then said it is currently analyzing the rulings in detail and will continue to work “closely with Morocco in all areas in which both partners maintain collaborative relations.”
