There is no way back. The decision of the new leadership of Ciudadanos, headed by Patricia Guasp and Adrián Vázquez, not to stand in the general elections of 23J after the debacle suffered on May 28 in the municipal and regional elections, is already irrevocable. This is confirmed by sources from the party Executive to this newsroom after the version spread that during the meeting that this body had held on Monday, both Guasp and Aruca Gómez (who was a candidate for the Community of Madrid), as well as Mamen Perís, leader of the party in Valencia, had defended against Adrián Vázquez the possibility of studying a change of position in the face of the numerous criticisms and protests that had aroused by not attending the next general elections. “It is not true that there has been a confrontation or fissures between Patricia and Adrián. There was a debate, it is true, but both respect a decision that was made by the Executive itself and later endorsed by the National Committee ”, insist the same sources.
