Symbiogenesis, the first square enix collectible digital art projectwill have 10,000 non-fungible tokens (NFT) of characters, which users can use as playable characters in the story and the missions that the game proposes.
The Japanese development studio has launched its NFT game project with a roadmap that will cover several phases until the official launch of the first chapter takes place in May.
For the moment, he has activated the official page and revealed part of the game map on it. He has also enabled a server on Discord and reported that there will be 10,000 pieces of character NFT art, each of them with a “unique design“, which can be used as playable characters.
Back in November, Square Enix shared that Symbiogenesis would offer a story that takes place in an alternate world where the player can ‘unravel’ a mystery by completing quests that revolve around issues of monopolization and distribution of resources.

The game will feature six chapterswith a main story and missions that will allow you to unlock the six characters. There will also be searches with which to locate hidden elements of the floating continent.
The company, however, explains that there are two ways to follow the story: through the main line, based on chapters, or with the individual stories of each character. In the latter case, there are parts that will only be available to whoever has the character’s NFT.
“We want players to post all the stories, read them all, reflect on them and Let them decide the future of this floating continent“, they explain from Square Enix. They also indicate that only players who have completed all the missions of the six chapters and obtained a set of special elements will be able to actively participate in the final mission, leaving the rest as spectators.
