Nintendo today revealed its most recent financial report with sales data for both hardware and software. Although Switch continues to sell at a good pace despite the years, the momentum that video games had due to the pandemic is gradually fading.

For this reason, it is not a surprise to learn that Nintendo registered a drop in sales of consoles and games during the last semester, as happened with PlayStation and Xbox. Now, this doesn’t mean that Nintendo is on the wrong track, as its profits are up and it still sells surprising numbers of systems and games. Proof of this is that Switch is quickly approaching the PS4 record, one of the most successful consoles in history.
