In “Family Feud” anything goes.
Steve Harvey repeated a cheeky answer he said he’s never uttered before on Tuesday’s episode of “Celebrity Family Feud.”
Chris Daughtry and his bandmates faced off against the members of Papa Roach, answering several survey questions posed by Harvey, 67.
One of the questions was, “Name something specific that Mrs. Peanut might threaten to do to Mr. Peanut when she gets angry.”
Team Papa Roach guessed an answer with the most points, giving them control of the round.
When it was drummer Tony Palermo’s turn, he said, “crack his nuts.”
As the audience laughed, Harvey shook his head and said, “Man.”
The host then fist-bumped Palermo, 54.
“That’s what I love about the band,” Harvey said. “They have a really good sense of humor.”
Harvey continued: “I’ve never been able to say this on television until now.”
He then shouted out Palermo’s bold guess, which turned out to be incorrect.
“I don’t know how the hell it’s not there,” Harvey replied. “That’s a very well thought out answer.”
Team Papa Roach got three of the six best answers on the board, but Team Daughtry won the round after getting a chance to steal.
Team Daughtry ultimately won the game and $25,000 for their chosen charity, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Daughtry’s stepdaughter, Hannah Price He died by suicide at age 25 in November 2021.
Price was under the influence of narcotics and had a history of mental health issues.
“I lost my mother to cancer and exactly one week later I lost my daughter to suicide,” said Daughtry, 44. During an interview with fellow “American Idol” star Kelly Clarkson on her talk show in June 2022.
“I dealt with both situations differently, I processed both losses very differently; the common denominator in both is guilt,” he continued. “The ‘I wish I had said this. I wish I had done this. I wish I had called more times.’”
Daughtry formed his rock band in 2006. They posted on Instagram about her appearance on “Celebrity Family Feud” before the episode aired.
“IT’S ALL GOING TO BE SAID TONIGHT!” the band said. “We’re taking on our boys @paparoach at @familyfeudabc all in support of @afspnational.”
