Headspace

This application has meditations, exercises to relieve stress, sleep resources, techniques to increase your concentration, among other tools.

If you have Netflix, you can also access headspace content. They currently have two guides: for sleeping and for doing meditation exercises.

If you opt for the sleep guide, each episode debunks myths, shares helpful tips, and includes a relaxation exercise at the end. In the case of meditation content, tools are provided to learn to let go, reduce stress, manage emotions and live in the present.

You find these contents on the streaming platform as “Headspace Guide”.

Insight Timer

In its free version, this app has guided meditations in Spanish, musical tracks and ambient sounds to calm the mind, concentrate, sleep better and relax. There are also discussion groups and achievement statistics.

Aura

It is an application that defines itself as “meditation and self-help to sleep better, relieve stress and for personal improvement.” Offers guided meditations, breathing exercises and relaxing sounds. Although it is paid, it has a limited free version.

Pure Mind

In this space, more than 500 guided meditations are offered that include activities focused on meditation, attention, to improve sleep and relaxation. It also has meditation and yoga content.

Other hacks

If you don’t want to download apps, but you have an Echo dot or Google Home at home, you can ask Alexa or Google to play white noise.

Alexa also offers quick sleep meditations and relaxing sounds, try saying “open” and one of the following commands: bamboo, sweet dreams, guided meditation, Diana, meditation timer. For each case, the assistant will tell you what relaxation options you have with casa skill.

If you are in a place where you cannot play audio but you still need a breathing meditation exercise, you can request it through WhatsApp to Meta AI. Remember that none of these alternatives replace a health professional.
