The mCLARI robot is an insectoid and arachnid robot, still in the development phase. It has multiple legs and moves in a way similar to that of spiders.

The mCLARI is the work of the team of roboticist Kaushik Jayaram, from the University of Colorado in Boulder, United States.

The CLARI (Compliant Legged Articulated Robotic Insect) series robots are based on a modular design, in which each of its legs acts as an autonomous robot with its own sensors, control circuits and even motor.

The new improved version that the team has prepared, called mCLARI, can move in all directions in small spaces, a pioneering achievement in quadruped robots of this class. (Fountain: NCYT by Amazings)
