The United States and South Korea will carry out from May 25 to June 15 what will be the largest joint live-fire exercises in their history to celebrate the 70th anniversary of their alliance and the 75th anniversary of the creation of the Forces South Korean navies, as reported by the South Korean Ministry of Defense.
The maneuvers will focus on the Soungjin Shooting Range, in Pocheon, 52 kilometers northeast of Seoul, the Ministry has highlighted, according to the South Korean news agency Yonhap.
F-35A stealth fighter planes, AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, K2 main battle tanks and Chunmoo multiple missile launchers will participate in these maneuvers.
The last assimilable military exercises were those of 2017, when 48 US and South Korean units and more than 2,000 soldiers were mobilized.
