It seems that Sony would be considering launching a portable console again, but unlike the models that have been released so far, such as the PSP or the PS Vita, this console it would be entirely focused on its use in conjunction with a desktop console through Remote Play.
Evidently, the main use of this console would be to use it through Remote Play with a PlayStation 5, but we do not know if it could also be compatible with previous consoles from the company –probably not. This device, codenamed Q Lite, it would run at 1080p 60 FPS and would require a permanent internet connection.
The existing prototypes, as we read in WCCFTech, They would have a design similar to that of the controls for PlayStation 5, but with an 8-inch touch screen in the center of it, so it is not really known what the final design would be like if it changes. Thanks to this, the prototype has the same functions as the PS5 controller, such as adaptive triggers.
Although any specific date is unknown, it is believed that the Sony Q Lite would arrive before a possible PlayStation 5 Pro, but after the hardware revision of the current PlayStation 5 that would allow the console to work with external BluRay drives.
