Presided over by a 6.5-inch 120Hz OLED screen with 4K resolution, this high-flying phone boasts some unusual features. And we are not talking about the processor, a Snapdragon 8 Gen2 (now with a much more efficient designer than in the Xperia 1 IV) or its 12 GB of RAM, already almost common in the segment in which it works, but about aspects such as the use of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 reinforced glass (still quite exotic) and an external finish that makes it easy to grip, since this phone has been designed to be taken out of your pocket at any time and take photos on the fly, without wasting time.
For this mission it has a high-performance rear camera. The main 52-megapixel sensor is 1/1.35-inch in size (almost 70% larger than the Xperia 1 IV) and offers a 4.3:3 aspect ratio that puts it halfway between the traditional 4:3 and the panoramic format. The final resolution is 12 MP. Apparently, the reorganization of the sensor’s pixel structure makes it much brighter than other previous sensors, to the point that it would double the light capture capacity.
The rest of the sensors are still at a good level, with two 12-megapixel sensors for wide-angle shots and with real and progressive optical zoom of 85-125mm. As usual, they benefit from Sony’s proprietary camera software, which includes presets taken from their Alpha range of cameras.
Video recording has also been pampered, and that implies that the support for headphones with a 3.5 mm connector is maintained, much more suitable for these tasks. Those who wish to use it for this purpose can make use of the grips and supports that Sony sells as accessories.

As Sony has pointed out, the Xperia 1 V will go on sale at the end of June for a price of 1,399 euros. Reservations are now open and include Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones as a gift (RRP of 280 euros).
Those who do not want or cannot make such a high outlay may lean towards the Xperia 10Va new mobile with much more limited features (Snapdragon 695, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of expandable storage, 5,000 mAh and more conventional cameras) that comes with a price of 449 euros.
