The four additional Songs of Conquest content will expand on the already known parts of the title, while the expansion will add two new factions. To continue telling the story of the game, Lavapotion will launch Tales of Conquest (Stories), a series of four pieces of content that will advance the campaign with story missions for each of the existing factions. At the same time, the gameplay will be expanded. The first paid add-on is called Rise Eternal and will follow the Barony of Loth, the undead faction.
In Eternal Risen players will step into the shoes of a new essentialist of Loth, Kastus Maal, a resurrected scholar who died in the Battle of Greybeak. The story of this necromancer will allow you to explore four new maps as Kastus seeks revenge against Cecilia Almaudaz. This additional content is planned for the fall and will also include new artifacts, artifact set bonuses, and secrets of the risen.
The next add-on called Essence Awakened will arrive in December and will have Arleon as the main faction. The remaining two paid content will focus on the mercenaries and inventors of Barya and the ancient tribes of Rana. According to the roadmap, its launch is scheduled for autumn and winter 2025, respectively.
Regarding the first major expansion, the goal is for it to be available during the second quarter of 2025. “We know it’s a year away, but we wanted you to know that we plan to keep Songs of Conquest for many years,” says Lavapotion. Bleak East, as the expansion is called, will move the action to the northeast of Patrium, where we find the descendants of both Arleon and Barya. The two new factions are called Vanir and Roots, and in Bleak East both will be introduced through a “grand campaign” for one player that will explain how they came to be and their effect on the world of Aerbor.
