Cyrille Heimburger, CEO of Blyyind, pointed out that so far the application is only in English and for iOS, but the purpose of its platform is for all users who want to make a sexual fantasy possible to connect with someone who wants to fulfill it.
“In addition to the software, we use the connection you have through the phone, but it is even possible that if you want to include sex toys they can be part of the profile you create in the app, since both complement each other in the experience,” Heimburguer said.
Another of the innovations at Unveiled is iMediSync, a flexible helmet that uses hundreds of sensors to map your brain in 10 minutes. The objective, rather than diagnose, is to prevent users from developing a motor or nervous system disease in the future. Also in this case, the use of the software is vital for the company of Korean origin.
Innovations in virtual reality were the protagonists in the first CES exhibition, with games or applications that allow brands and users to bring the metaverse closer to all the curious.
According to an Accenture survey of 9,000 consumers, it was found that 55% of users will seek to be “active” in the metaverse in the next two years. And of those meta-optimists, 90% wanted to make that leap within the next year. So beyond seeing new lenses or viewfinders, many brands are focused on launching more user-friendly software with this trend.
Within the verticals that are growing, and that coincide with what was said by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the group that represents 1,376 consumer technology companies, is sustainability. In this area we find companies that offer everything from air conditioners that use solar energy to charge themselves, to an electric motorcycle that reduces CO2 emissions in cities.
Sustainable mobility also remained one of the main trends at Unveiled 2023, with electric skates developed by the Atmos Gear company, and wheelchairs presented by the Whill company, with which they seek to give users ‘green’ autonomy of public transport.
What did we expect to see and did not find?
Although there were some nods to inclusive technologies, few companies took the time to develop products or services for users with motor disabilities. One of the few was L’Oreal, which introduced Brow Magic, a device that allows those who do not have precise motor control to paint their lips to have a perfect lip marking.
Another of the promises of this CES 2023 was a strong boost to smart home devices, but despite finding some gadgets from brands like LG or General Electric, there were few launches or news from smaller brands focused on this vertical.
