Everything indicates that in the first days of November the Government will have news for drivers, related to the payment conditions of the compulsory traffic accident insurance (Soat).

According to the Minister of Transportation, Guillermo Reyes, although the date of October 31 could not be met, The Government would be working with all the parties to reach an agreement that can be communicated on November 4.
“We have worked with a committee in which Health, Transportation, Finance and Superfinancial are part, following up on insurers so that they issue the Soat and verifying the tables in what has to do with the regulatory frameworkReyes assured.
With this, according to the head of the portfolio, they would be looking for more accessible payment methodsfor example by installments, so that drivers can access the Soat.

Since they currently have to make it in a single payment, this has created difficulties for those who do not have the stipulated amount, which, in most cases of motorcyclists, exceeds $500,000.
