Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater will bring Naked Snake out of retirement and faithfully tell the story that for many is the best in the series. With this new game, Konami will also bring back the original voice of the protagonist.
You may remember that David Hayter was the voice actor for all versions of Snake from Metal Gear Solid until Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroesafter he was replaced by Kiefer Sutherland in the Western version.

David Hayter will return as the voice of Snake in Metal Gear Solid Δ
Konami revealed that their plans are to make players experience the title faithfully, albeit with some unspecified new features.
One of the main doubts was if Hayter would return to voice Naked Snake and it has just been confirmed that he would… in a certain way.

We say this because through a press release (via Gematsu), Konami mentioned that among the elements that will remain intact from the original game will be “the original voice characters”, so in the remake you will be able to hear the interpretation of David Hayter.
The information that Konami has shared has been scant and ambiguous. We say this because Konami doesn’t say for sure if the voice acting will be identical to the original and use recordings from almost 20 years ago or if they plan to make new recordings, but apparently it will be the former.
As expected, Hayter has been questioned about it on Twitter, but the actor has neither confirmed nor denied it. We will keep you informed.
