The Turner family said the iconic artist died after a “long illness” in a statement shared with Rolling Stone on Wednesday.
“Tina Turner, the ‘Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness at her home in Küsnacht, near Zurich, Switzerland,” her family said. “With her, the world loses a music legend and role model.”
