The Somali security forces killed more than 30 alleged members of the terrorist group Al Shabaab this Friday in an operation carried out jointly with troops from the Jubaland region (southern) in several towns located in this area of ​​the African country.

According to information collected by the Somali state news agency, SONNA, the operation has been led by the Danab special forces, formed by the United States, and has resulted in the death of several senior members of the group, although at the moment no There are details about their identities.

The operation takes place a day after the death of about ten alleged members of Al Shabaab, linked to the terrorist organization Al Qaeda, in an operation in the Bay region (southern), amid the increase in offensives against the group by the Army with the support of local clans within the framework of the president's plan, Hasan Sheikh Mohamud, to defeat the group.
