Bin Salmán announces an expansion of oil production capacity, but warns that it will no longer be possible to increase it further

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s ‘de facto’ ruler, warned on Saturday that “unrealistic policies” to reduce gas emissions that cause global warming could lead to inflation and unemployment.
“Adopting unrealistic policies to reduce emissions by excluding major energy sources will lead to unprecedented inflation, rising energy prices, rising unemployment and serious security and social problems in the coming years,” Bin said. Salmán during his speech before the Gulf Cooperation Council meeting in Jeddah. Thus, he has called for “unifying efforts” to support the global economy.
However, he has warned that crude oil production has reached its limit. “The kingdom plans to increase its oil production capacity to 13 million barrels per day and then it will not be able to increase it any further,” she said.
In addition, Bin Salmán has urged Iran to collaborate with the countries of the region and “not intervene” in the affairs of these countries, according to the daily ‘Saudi Gazzette’ in its digital edition.
Bin Salman is hosting in Jeddah the extended format meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC + 3), made up of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, plus Jordan, Iraq and Egypt, to which is also attended by the president of the United States, Joe Biden.
