Samsung will manufacture the Exynos 2500 with its second-generation 3nm process to surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4

Earlier this year, Samsung began chip manufacturing tests with the second generation of its 3-nanometer technology. Now, new rumors suggest that this process will be used in the manufacturing of its next Exynos 2500 SoCs for the Samsung Galaxy S25.

With this technology, the rumors they point out that the Exynos 2500 would be more efficient than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Although it seems that there will be two variants, one with 10 cores for laptops and another with 8 cores for smartphones, the company is expected to maintain the strategy of launching its flagships with its own SoCs and with the high-end Snapdragon (8 Gen 4 in this case), so we will have Galaxy S25 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for certain markets (USA and others), and with the 8-core Exynos 2500 for Europe and more countries.

If the S25 is finally launched with both SoCs, it will be relatively easy to check which variant is more efficient and which achieves more performance. However, as has already happened several times, users in some territories may see how their terminal, at the same price, offers lower features than those in other countries.

This strategy has been common in recent years, and was only broken recently with the arrival of the Galaxy S23 that relied solely on the Snapdragon. It will be necessary to see if the Exynos 2500 manages to hit the table and surpass the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
