Russia is willing to supply Cuba with 1.64 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products a year, Russian news agencies reported on Tuesday, citing the island’s Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero, who is visiting Moscow.
Marrero met with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The officials discussed “bilateral cooperation on energy issues and food security,” indicated the Cuban government website cubadebate.
Marrero is expected to stay in Russia until June 17 to participate in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, in the city of Sochi.
