Russia has used more than 40 missiles and about 70 drones In his attack this morning against Ukraine, which has been directed above all against infrastructure and the energy system, as reported by the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky has explained that at least 30 of these missiles have been destroyed by Ukrainian defenses.
“Another massive attack from Russia. We are in the middle of winter and the target for the Russians remains the same: our energy system,” Zelensky wrote, adding that the targets include gas infrastructure.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia used 43 missiles in the bombing, most of them cruising, and 74 drones. 30 of the missiles and all the drones have been neutralized.
“The enemy attacked infrastructure of the Ukrainian energy system, in particular gas infrastructure in Kharkiv (this), Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk (west)”, reads the Air Force report, which recognizes that there have been impacts on some infrastructure.
In his message about the attack, the Ukrainian president insisted on the need to expand Ukraine’s air defense capabilities and stressed once again that some of the systems promised by its NATO allies still have not reached the country.
