April 19 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A group of relatives of hostages kidnapped by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the framework of the attacks perpetrated last October 7 against Israeli soil and where 1,200 people died have blocked this Friday the main highway that connects the cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
Dozens of family members have once again taken to the streets to protest against the Government headed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding that it take the necessary measures to ensure that their loved ones are released and can return home.
The families of the hostages have staged numerous similar protests since the attacks, which left 240 kidnapped. Since then, the Israeli Army has carried out an offensive against the Gaza Strip that has left more than 40,000 dead.
However, Hamas has only agreed to release a small group of people under a temporary agreement sealed in November that also allowed the release of dozens of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails.
