Raisi assures that the "enemies" of Iran are looking for "excuses" to encourage protests in Iran

Raisi affirms that if there is “negligence” in the Amini case “they will be followed up”

Sep. 28 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi, has assured this Wednesday in a speech to the nation that the “enemies” of Iran seek “excuses”, such as the death of the young Mahsa Amini in police facilities, to promote “chaos and insecurity” through the protests.

Raisi has classified as “enemies” those responsible for the disturbances, who use “an issue as an excuse to start a riot.” “They do not sympathize with the Iranian nation,” he explained, adding that they seek to “create chaos and insecurity” in the country, according to the Mehr news agency.

“All university professors, teachers, all students, all dear parents, all workers and farmers, all those who are economically active, must know that today what frustrates the enemy is the active presence in all fields of work. It is to participate and move the country forward”, he defended.

“The distance between protest and riot must be defined. There is nothing wrong with protesting and opposing speech. They must be heard, but riots, the disruption of the country’s security, the creation of chaos and the assault on life and people’s property are not acceptable anywhere in the world,” Raisi added.

In this sense, he has argued that the “red line” of the Islamic Republic of Iran is “the safety of people’s lives and property.” “People cannot be allowed to violate life and property and disrupt society with riots,” she reiterated, according to the IRNA news agency.

THE CASE OF MAHSA AMINI

“We all believe that this issue (that of Amini) must be clarified. All of us, with all tastes and all political points of view, agree that this matter must be carried out in a transparent and fair manner,” he assessed.

In this way, Raisi has specified that if there is “negligence” on the part of the police officers who arrested Mahsa Amini, the 22-year-old Kurdish woman who died after being arrested for wearing the veil wrong, “they will be followed up” .

Raisi has stressed that he has called Amini’s family, whose legal team has filed a complaint this Wednesday asking the competent Iranian authorities for a detailed investigation into how the arrest was carried out.

“During my trip to Samarkand, I learned about the incident that happened to Amini and told the Home Office to follow up on the situation. By the time I got back, I was informed of his death,” he explained.

In this sense, he explained that he has offered his condolences to the family for news “that affects all Iranians.” “There is no one who is not affected,” she assured, adding that “transparency” and “justice” are necessary in this case.

“Some institutions have given reports on the cause of death, but the final report of the forensic doctor has not yet been released, and the judiciary must give a legal opinion on the matter. The forensic doctor will give his final opinion within coming days”, he has sentenced.
