The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, through iNNpulsa Colombia, launched the new entrepreneurship program FortaleSERwhich will support the development of 2,970 micro and small businesses from different regions of the country that are part of the productive units of the popular and community economy.

For the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Germán Umaña, “With this program we hope to support the productive units that are part of the Popular Economy of the country, so that they advance in their administrative, financial, commercial, productive, innovation and product development processes. We hope that the production units served will increase their sales in a sustained manner in the four-year period”.
This initiative, which will also have the support of seven chambers of commerce in the country, will impact micro and small businesses such as restaurants, hairdressers, travel agencies, hostels, bakeries, convenience stores, beauty, fashion, clothingamong others.
“With FotaleSER we seek to contribute to the achievement of economic justice in the country. The beneficiaries will start with a diagnosis to find out their needs and, based on this, a personalized action plan will be developed through 50 hours of specialized accompaniment. In this way, they will begin their route to www.mincit.gov.co, strengthening their businesses and theirs as entrepreneurs”, highlighted Hernán Ceballos, general manager of iNNpulsa Colombia.

The program, which has an investment of more than 10 billion pesos, also offers theoretical and practical classes; commercial training that includes training in the management of financial statements and preparation to facilitate access to financing, participation in trade fairs and a mentoring module.
The beneficiary businesses will be located in Armenia, Chinchiná, Santa Rosa de Cabal, Tumaco, Barranquilla, Arauca, Villavicencio, Bucaramanga, Ocaña, Piedmonte Araucano, Ibagué, south and east of Tolima, Pasto, Pereira, Dosquebradas, Florencia, Cali, Palmira, Putumayo, Bogotá, Amazonas, Guaviare, Cartagena, Montería, Sincelejo, Guajira, Medellín, Quibdó, Neiva, Oriente Antioqueño, Itagüí, Bello and Apartadó.
