Community Days have become the event par excellence in Pokémon GO. Each month, the company highlights a Pokémon to appear more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a shiny or variocolor version.
On January 7, the first Community Day of January was brought with the special catch of Chespin. If you evolved it, you got the special move Fierce Plant, which does 100 damage in trainer battles.
As if this were not enough, Niantic announced after the event closed that there is another Community Day scheduled for January. On the 21st of this month, Larvitar will appear and if from 2 to 5 you evolve it into Tyranitar, you will get the move called Anti-Aircraft.
“Classic Community Day returns in January! This event will feature Larvitar, the Rock Skin Pokémon”, details Niantic in the official announcement of the event on the official blog.
- Triple XP for catching Pokémon.
- Bait Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (except for Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take some snaps during Classic Community Day for a surprise!
The event has been scheduled for January 21, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (local time). But you won’t have to wait until then to enjoy new Pokémon GO content.
The “Scintillating Fantasy” event has also been announced for January 10 through January 16, where Mega Salamence will appear in mega raids. Wild encounters will also be modified.
