PlayStation Showcase 2023: What games would be featured at Sony’s mid-year conference?

We are approaching half a year and it is time to learn more about the different releases that we will have in the rest of the year. The different development companies and distribution companies prepare their conferences, despite the fact that E3 2023 has been cancelled. PlayStation will start with the event Playstation Showcase 2023 scheduled for May 24.

It is true that there will be space for triple A games, but there will be a time to talk about the future of the PS VR2 virtual reality peripherals, which went on sale in February of this year and are only compatible with the PS5.

“The show will last just over an hour and will focus on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from the best studios around the world. Expect to check out several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as exciting games from our third-party partners and independent creators.”, Sony comments regarding the content of the event.

As expected, they have not leaked the protagonists of the conference. However, there are important titles that should start sharing more information, the most talked about in forums specialized in videogames is Marvel’s Wolverine.

Marvel’s Wolverine

After the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Marvel’s Avengers, the title of Miles Morales and the Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel now has an ambitious project on its hands to retell Wolverine’s story in Marvel’s Wolverine.

The game was presented at the 2021 showcase and it would be time to know the official release date. In the first preview you only see a bar totally devastated by a fight, while behind it stands a person with a knife ready to attack Wolverine.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Another pending title is the second part of the Peter Parker story. This game will feature the presence of Miles Morales and they will have to face a greater threat: Venom. For now, it is only known that it will be released sometime in 2023 and that it will be a much darker story than the first two installments.

Sony could also take advantage of its conference to show images of The Last of Us Factions, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and there is always a new one on the table silent hillbut at this point it is already a meme more than a rumor.
