Playstation Showcase 2023 has finished and there are basically two products that are on everyone’s lips. The first is undoubtedly the new Metal Gear Solid, one of the most anticipated games of recent years. However, the other product is not a title that will be released in the following months, but an accessory of the PS5.
This is Project Q, a wireless controller that has an integrated screen in the central part. It might remind you of the PSP or the Nintendo Switch, but it’s something else entirely. You will not be able to take the device out of the house, due to how it works internally.
It is just a controller with a screen, where a stream of what is currently running on your PlayStation 5 console will be made. The controllers will maintain all the functionality of the DualSense, while you play remotely in a room where your PS5 is not there.
Project Q battery life
Given this revelation, the first rumors of the characteristics are already being shared in the specialized technology forums. For example, Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming revealed the device’s battery life.
“get ready, because Insider Gaming knows that the Project Q’s battery life will be around 3-4 hours.. Yes, you’ve got it right. Q is in the same brand as the DualSense which has short battery life I guess”, wrote the insider.
“If the commercial version of Project Q has a battery life of 3-4 hours, the device could be a hard sell for Sony. People are already skeptical of its success, since the handheld is only used with Remote Play”, he finished.
