PlatinumGames launched a crowdfunding campaign in 2020 to make The Wonderful 101 remaster a reality for modern platforms. The goal was met and the support of the fans was so great that it was ensured that the game was going to receive a DLC with a completely new story and today, after 3 years, it is already available.
As part of the campaign goals, PlatinumGames would develop additional content with 2D side-scrolling gameplay that would also feature a new story. In this new adventure, Luka would be the protagonist and could face threats thanks to his glasses that shoot lasers in the direction in which the player moves the left stick.
The wait for the DLC was long, but PlatinumGames finally delivered, as this weekend it launched the first part of The Wonderful One: After School Hero. You read that right, this is not a single DLC, but a 2-part adventure, and best of all, fans won’t have to wait long to play the last part, which will be available next weekend, precisely on May 26, 2023.

You can now play the DLC of The Wonderful 101: Remastered!
Some people thought that only people who backed the game on Kickstarter would get this unreleased content for free, but the good news is that the DLC is available for free to everyone who owns a copy of the game.
“This DLC was made possible by reaching the additional goal of our February 2020 crowdfunding campaign. We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing 33,199 fans who supported us on this adventure,” PlatinumGames said.
