The video starts off by showing how pools are built using a new tool, which allows you to place geometric or custom shapes and create whatever swimming area you want to offer your guests. The developers say that these tools “make the process of building a new pool quick and easy,” whether you’re creating a simple pool or a more ambitious one. To liven things up, there are slides, which, like roller coasters, are built piece by piece for more creative control and flexibility in choosing how they look and function.
“As with other attractions, you’ll need to balance your guests’ excitement, fear and nausea to maximize their enjoyment of the slide,” Frontier Developments warns. To further customize the slides, different starter pieces can be chosen, while their visual appearance includes options such as transparent sections or striking colors and designs. Meanwhile, Planet Coaster 2 adds tools that allow you to control the appearance of the water to make it more visually appealing to guests, from the classic bright blue aesthetic to less common colors.
Planet Coaster 2’s water attractions aren’t limited to standard water slides. In the video, we can see other water attractions such as six-person raft slides and rides with drain, sphere and boomerang sections, “all inspired by real water park attractions,” says Frontier Developments. There are still varieties of slides, tubes and special attractions to discover, among others.
The 15-minute video also showcases the park’s new customization options and tools, allowing you to create new designs and tailor the park to your creative vision. Options include attaching decorative and flat elements directly to the rides and having them move in sync with any of the structure’s moving parts. This allows a basic teacup ride to feature aquatic-themed décor. To facilitate this type of customization, the rides, including the well-known ones, have a simpler design.
Finally, the video shows that Planet Coaster 2 introduces a number of new features and management additions, including new staff types such as lifeguards.
