The director general of the Department of International Organizations of North Korean diplomacy, Jo Chol Su, has criticized that the G7, “a group that represents the interests of a small number of States”, disagrees on North Korea’s “self-defense measures”. , according to the official North Korean news agency, KCNA.
Likewise, Jo has argued that the G7 Summit is not qualified to behave as a “defender of the international order” and “guardian of Human Rights” in any respect.
“In the G7 there is a country that has massively developed, deployed and sold lethal weapons for aggression with an investment of huge funds, as the largest state with nuclear weapons in the world, and does not hesitate to proliferate nuclear technology for its ambition of hegemony “, added Jo, referring to the United States, in a statement to which the aforementioned agency has had access.
He has also assured that the North American country has murdered “many innocent civilians” and has “committed aggression against sovereign states in a wanton violation of international law, including the UN Charter.”
“Such a G7 now finds fault with other countries without foundation and admonishes them, setting double standards for their narrow-mindedness and interests (…). This behavior in itself is a mockery and an insult to the world community,” he asserted. the North Korean director general of international organizations, also criticizing the West’s management of vaccines against COVID-19.
“Among them, there are also the typical countries that have failed to prevent the global pandemic, causing the global ‘lack of a vaccine’ and claiming many human losses due to the bad reaction to the crisis just to seek their own interests,” he added.
After the Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, criticized last Monday – after a meeting with the rest of the G7 leaders – North Korea’s ballistic missile tests, Pyongyang has reiterated its intention to strengthen its “military capacity of self-defense”.
“Our step to strengthen the military’s self-defense capability is a reasonable and legitimate exercise of the right to self-defense to defend the rights and interests of our state from the threat of the United States,” Jo detailed in the letter.
“We will never back down from the path of Justice for defending the dignity and rights of our State, regardless of the words of others,” he added.
