Nintendo says ‘no’ to breasts

Today we have bad news for players who consume explicit suggestive or hentai video games on the Nintendo Switch, since the distributor Gamuzumi (distributor specializing in adult games) has just confirmed that it is struggling to publish its games of this style on the platform, since that Nintendo has just “increased its restriction on what can and cannot be published on its consoles”.

According to the details, Gamuzumi sent him Hot Tentacles Shooter to Nintendo for review so it can be released later (that’s how game publishing is on all platforms). The above occurred at the beginning of September; however, something unusual is happening with this case, since Gamuzumi had not received any review on the title, despite the fact that 1 month had already passed since the shipment.

What is striking is that the only response he originally received was that the game “may” not conform to console policy. This was confirmed later, when on September 30 (25 days after the original submission) the publisher shared a positive and negative update. Gamuzumi finally received a response from Nintendo, but unfortunately it confirmed that it no longer “allows boobs on its consoles” or “obscene content that could damage the brand or violate its policies.”

What will happen to games with nudity on Nintendo Switch?

That clearly means that from now on all games with nudity that includes breasts will have to be censored if they want to make it to Nintendo Switch; otherwise it will go through the same as Hot Tentacles Shoot, which was rejected at first instance. In fact, Gamuzumi also mentioned that another recently released game of his, Elves Christmas Hentai Puzzlewas also rejected.

This is bad news for players of this class of titles, as they will no longer be able to play them as they were originally intended. Titles that conform to Nintendo’s policies will have to appear censored or without nudity entirely to see if Nintendo gives them the green light.

“It’s a shame that now all consoles have restrictions on nudity content, this will probably not only affect our games, but games from other publishers/developers as well,” Gamuzumi said.

As a joke, a user asked if he can play with the girls from fingun 2 now with pasties (little transparent stickers to hide the nipple or nipple covers); Gamuzumi mentioned that they have already contacted Nintendo about it, although they have not received a response.
