Both models have a neodymium driver system, but the HS35 V2 uses a 2-channel stereo connection system with a 3.5 mm minijack, while The Corsair HS35 Surround V2 supports Dolby Audio 7.1 thanks to a USB receiver for positional surround sound. This receiver connects to a PC or Mac via USB, but offers a minijack output.
