Music releases of the week
Nicky Jam, “Toy a thousand”
Our musical premieres of the week are led by Nicky Jam, who starts the year with his song “Toy a mil”. The song, which has dembow rhythms, was produced by Jorge Miliano.
“This theme calls for the party, to start the year with positive energy and always wanting to have a good time. I hope you enjoy it,” Nicky Jam said in a statement.
Miranda! Feat. Lali, “I will tell you”
The Argentine group Miranda! opens within our musical premieres with the collaboration with a compatriot, Lali. This is not an unknown song for fans of the pop duo. This theme was originally released in 2004 on the album “Without restrictions”.
The 2023 version will be part of the “Hotel Miranda!” which is an album of reversions of some of their most successful songs, along with friends of the band.
The announcement of this collaboration was made on their social networks as a kind of hotel reservationa format that they have already made for other releases that will be part of this album.
Eddy Herrera, Felipe Peláez and Omar Enrique, “To drink”
Three Latin music stars join forces to invite you “A beber”. It is a merengue produced by Isaías Leclrec. The theme was written by Enhgel Mota.
“The lyrics speak of the longing that can fill us when a passionate romance comes to an end, and the desire to drown our sorrows with strength,” a press release states.
The video clip was recorded in the Los Roques archipelago in Venezuela.
Chiquis, “Because I am a queen bee”
Chiquis arrives at our weekly premieres with her first release of 2023, “Because I am a queen bee”.
The corrido is, according to his Universal Music label, “a continuation of his successful and renowned album Queen bee”, which is nominated for a Grammy for best regional Mexican album.
“For me it was very important to write and record a song like this that represents my truth and my essence. Being a Queen Bee is experiencing challenges and taking risks that make you grow personally and professionally,” Chiquis said in a statement.
Ryan Castro, “Ghetto star”
We close our main list of musical releases of the week with the Colombian singer Ryan Castro.
The native of Medellín presented “Ghetto star”, the second single from the album that Castro will present this year.
In the song, Castro talks about how it is possible to achieve dreams and how he, who is known as the ghetto singer, managed to become a star.
