“These changes will give non-citizens with limited connectivity the same opportunity to schedule inspection appointments at Southwest border ports of entry as those with better internet connections,” the immigration office said in a statement.

Now applicants for entry to the US will have 23 hours a day to make their requests and confirm the appointment, which increases the steps to take to two, instead of a specific hour that is currently provided.
The other significant change is the increase of up to 1,000 daily appointments and that “non-citizens who have waited the longest” since they entered the system will be given priority.
Even so, CBP anticipates that the entity “will continually evaluate the expansion of the number of appointments available as operations and efficiency allow.”
The announced changes do not modify either the procedures or the registration requirements in CBP One, both for those who do it personally and those who are entered through another person in the system.
The authorities indicate that applicants must be “physically” located within central or northern Mexico to submit their applications and schedule the appointment through CBP One.
Appointments will be available at eight US ports of entry, namely: Brownsville, Paso Del Norte in El Paso, Eagle Pass, Hidalgo and Laredo in Texas; Calexico and San Ysidro in California; and Nogales in Arizona.
