March 27 () –
Moldova has started this Monday a series of joint military exercises with Romania, the United States and the United Kingdom, which will allow the transfer of military equipment to different areas of the territory.
The Moldovan Ministry of Defense has indicated that this equipment will be made available to the troops involved in the maneuvers in the training centers of the country’s Armed Forces.
However, the authorities have asked the population to remain calm and “not speculate” about the final objective of this type of movement, especially in the midst of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to information from the Moldova 1 television channel.
These joint exercises are expected to last at least until April 7. “The objective of these maneuvers is to exchange experience between soldiers from the four countries and increase the level of interaction between contingents,” the Ministry of Defense asserted.
Thus, the maneuvers include live fire, parachute jumps and field exercises, among other exercises.
